COVID-19 CRISIS VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES
Despite the many challenges presented by COVID-19, Meals on Wheels Orange County is dedicated to delivering meals to the thousands of older adults that rely on us each and every day. We are preparing for the event that there is an increased need for emergency short-term volunteers in many of the cities we serve:
Please read through the requirements for this opportunity:
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Meal deliveries are made Monday through Friday between 9 am to 12 pm
- Must have a valid California driver’s license, driver’s insurance, and reliable vehicle
- A background check is required and we are asking that, due to increase costs at this time, volunteers cover this $20 fee
If you are interested in adding your name to our list, please complete our short application below.
Thank you for your interest in volunteering during these challenging times and for your heart to serve vulnerable older adults in our community. We will do our best to respond to your submission, but please bear with us as we deal with this unprecedented emergency. We will be in contact as volunteer opportunities arise.
