Our very own Registered Dietician Anna Hamada invites you to try an Avocado/Cucumber Salad recipe. This nutritious salad is sure to have you feeling satisfied, energized and is part of a balanced diet.

Avocado/Cucumber Salad
Serves: 6
Portion size: ½ cup


1 medium avocado, cubed
1 medium cucumber, chopped
1 green onion, chopped
1 large garlic, minced
1 tbsp cilantro, chopped


3 tbsp lime juice (about 1 ½ limes)
1 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
¼ tsp cumin
pepper to taste


  1. In a medium bowl add the first five ingredients. Toss lightly.
  2. In a small bowl whisk together the lime juice, oil, cumin and pepper. Add to the cucumber/avocado mixture. Toss lightly. Cover with plastic wrap and chill for at least 30 minutes.

Can be served with a Tuna Melt
